CCV's primary aim is to promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment anywhere, whilst having an enjoyable time doing so. CCV and the reserve

Over many years CCV have lent a helping hand on the reserve, works have included clearing invading Reedmace from the pond, hay rakes, laying paths, planting trees and shrubs and removing invading trees from reedbed and meadow areas as well as repairing fences and cutting back vegetation.
