Roath Mill Gardens

Stretching between Waterloo Gardens and Roath Park Recreation Ground, along the Roath brook, Roath Mill gardens is a major wild life corridor and public resource.

The park is still laid out using the original Edwardian ideals and to preserve these and the Edwardian architecture of the surrounding houses Roath Mill Gardens, Waterloo Gardens and surrouding streets are a designated Conservation Area.

The gardens feature dotted specimen trees, herbaceous borders, streamside plants and winding paths which provide space within the urban enviroment (rus in urbe) giving open attractive recreation facilities that all can enjoy.

Roath Brook ~

Roath brook the Nant Fawr, Nant y Lleici which flows through Roath Mill Gardens runs from Roath Park Lake down through Roath Mill Gardens into Waterloo Gardens and on through Sainsbury's across Colchester Avenue and so to the river Rhumney.
