Howardian Local Nature Reserve - Cardiff ~ Installation of Bird and Bat Boxes

*Small Mammal & Reptile provision* *Installation of Bird and Bat Boxes* Deploying Bird and Bat Boxes winter 2009/10.

30 Aperture Bird Boxes, 10 Open Fronted Bird Boxes and 20 Bat Boxes were placed around the Woodland during Winter 2009/10.

The boxes were placed on trees around the reserve. Aperture Bird Boxes and Bat Boxes were placed high in the trees, Open fronted Bird Boxes placed at head height.

*Small Mammal & Reptile provision* *Installation of Bird and Bat Boxes* Colchester Avenue Allotments Association collected and donated scrap corrugated iron sheets for use as nesting for small mammals and basking for reptiles.
