Water features include a Pond, New Pond, Scrapes and a Winter Wetland providing perfect conditions for a wide variety of flora and fauna. These habitats are complimented by the Meadow & Grassland and Woodlland areas. (Unprecedented flooding Winter 2012/13)

The Winter Wetland is a remote area of the reserve not easily accessible to the public it therefore attracts some of the shyer bird species.
